Welcome to the International Canadian Martial Arts Federation

Uniting Martial Artists Through Tradition, Excellence, and Community

Welcome to the International Canadian Martial Arts Federation!

We are dedicated to bringing together martial artists from across Canada and around the globe. With a strong foundation in tradition and a focus on personal growth, our federation offers a vibrant community for practitioners of all skill levels. We will also provide all martial arts enthusiasts who would like to learn and enjoy a martial art discipline the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

About ICMAF

The International Canadian Martial Arts Federation is a unifying body for martial arts practitioners, clubs, and enthusiasts. Founded with the mission of promoting traditional martial arts and fostering a sense of community, we provide a platform for learning, competition, and growth.

Our focus spans multiple disciplines, including Tang Soo Do, Para Karate, and Karate. These arts embody the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance, which form the cornerstone of our federation.

Whether you’re an experienced martial artist or just beginning your journey, the International Canadian Martial Arts Federation welcomes you to a supportive community that celebrates the spirit of martial arts while fostering excellence in every practitioner.

Current Martial Arts Disciplines

  • Karate

Karate is one of the most iconic and respected martial arts, rooted in centuries of tradition. Known for its powerful techniques and emphasis on discipline, Karate teaches practitioners the value of hard work, respect, and resilience.

  • Hapkido

Hapkido is a versatile discipline of self-protection that includes joint locks, low kicks, strikes, take downs, pressure point manipulation, and disarming techniques to teach practitioners to either counter or preemptively strike an imminent attack to defend oneself.

  • Para Karate

Para Karate is a martial art adapted for individuals with disabilities, offering opportunities for personal development, physical fitness, and competition. At the International Canadian Martial Arts Federation, we are proud to champion Para Karate as a way to break barriers and build confidence.

Our February 2025 Event

A Successful Launch: ICMAF’s First Para Martial Arts Seminar – Jeddah, February 2025

The International Canadian Martial Arts Federation (ICMAF) proudly held its first Para Martial Arts Seminar in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on February 15–16, 2025. Hosted in collaboration with AlFares Rehabilitation Center, the University of Business & Technology (UBT), and the Saudi Committee for Sports Masters (SCSM), the event brought together instructors, experts, and participants from 12 countries, both in person and online.

Due to the strong engagement and positive feedback, ICMAF has accepted an invitation to return for a second, expanded seminar in July 2025.

Partnerships - Coming Soon

  • Triathlon

ICMAF is actively exploring partnerships within the triathlon community to expand our reach into multi-discipline endurance sports. By collaborating with established triathlon organizations, we aim to co-host events and competitions that bring martial artists and endurance athletes together, fostering cross-training opportunities and broader athletic development.

  • Speed Ball

ICMAF is also in discussions with key figures in the speedball community to develop joint programs and competitions. This potential partnership will allow us to introduce speedball into our event calendar, offering new skill-building opportunities for our members and creating shared platforms with other federations dedicated to this fast-paced, dynamic sport.
