  • Mr. Mahmoud Mattar-Egypt

    Technical Advisor-Karate

    With nearly 51 years of experience, Sensei Mahmoud Mattar is a highly respected Karate master. Beginning his journey in Egypt in 1973, he was one of the earliest karatekas in the region, earning multiple championships at the Egyptian, Mediterranean, and African levels. After retiring from competition, he transitioned to coaching, first at local clubs and later as part of the Egyptian National Squad’s coaching team, where he played a key role in their international success. Today, he holds an 8th Dan Black Belt in Karate, continuing to pass on his knowledge and experience to future generations of martial artists.

  • Mr. Tarek Mansy-Egypt

    Technical Advisor-Karate

    Sensei Tarek Mansy is a Karate master with over 45 years of experience. He began training in Egypt in 1978 and, alongside his partner and late brother, Sensei Hisham Mansy, became a dominant force in Egyptian Karate, earning numerous medals and contributing to the country’s rich martial arts legacy. He has served as a national squad member, coach, and Karate manager for a major Egyptian governorate, playing a pivotal role in developing elite competitors. Today, he holds an 8th Dan Black Belt in Karate, continuing to uphold and promote the highest standards of the discipline.

  • Mr. Colin Putt-UK

    Technical Advisor-Karate

    Sensei Colin Putt began training in Shotokan Karate in the early 1970s under the late Sensei Enoeda in the UK. With over 50 years of experience, he has trained with legendary masters like Nakayama, Kase, Asai, Tanaka, and Shirai. Earning his Shodan in 1976, all of his black belt ranks were awarded by senior Japanese instructors. After a successful competition career, he became an international referee and now travels globally to lead seminars and judging courses. He holds an 8th Dan under JSKF and serves as a founding member, Senior Director, Technical Director, and Chief Referee of SKDUN.

  • Mrs. Georgina Putt-UK

    Technical Advisor-Karate

    Sensei Georgina Putt began her karate journey in 1979 at age 14, becoming one of Czechoslovakia’s first female karatekas. After relocating to the UK in 2000 to pursue a nursing career, she trained under Sensei Colin Putt and continued learning from top Japanese masters including Kagawa, Kawasoe, Mori, Namiki, Saito, Kato, Abe, and at the JKA Honbu Dojo in Japan with Senseis Naka and Hanzaki.

    An active member of the Shotokan Karate Do of United Nations (SKDUN), she has competed internationally and served as Affiliations Officer, non-executive board member, and referee/judge tutor. Sensei Georgina Putt has been a certified International Grade A Judge/Referee since 2012 and currently holds a 4th Dan Black Belt. At ICMAF, she will lead girls’ courses and serve as the liaison between SKDUN and ICMAF.

  • Mr. Lodovico Ciccarelli -Italy

    Technical Advisor-Karate

    Mr Ciccarelli is one of the world experts in Karate with 56 years experience of Karate. He started his successful journey in Shotokan Karate in 1968. From 1981 to 1985, Sensei Ciccarelli travelled extensively to Japan to train and develop his Karate skills at the JKA Honbo Dojo and in Hoitsugan Dojo, which is the personal dojo of the late Karate supreme master Sensei Nakayama. Sensei Ciccarelli won many trophies. He was 7 times the Italian Champion and 2 Times European champion. He also competed in world championships, achieving 3rd position and 2nd position each once. Sensei Ciccarelli is the technical director of the JTK (Japan Traditional Karate Federation) in Italy. He is also a key member of the Italian National Federal Technical Commission. Sensei Ciccarelli holds the rank of Black Belt 7 Dan.

  • Mr. Muzammal Rana

    Technical Advisor-Karate & Self Defence

    Mr. Rana began practicing Shotokan Karate in 1984 and has trained across multiple countries with renowned instructors such as Sensei Enoeda, Asai, Shiina Abe, and Ohta. A dedicated martial artist, he also holds 3rd Dan black belts in Taekwondo, Judo, and Aikido. In Pakistan, he played a vital role in growing Karate and martial arts, alongside a distinguished career as a police officer responsible for training in self-defense and enforcement tactics. Mr. Rana is Chairman of IPA DTG Pakistan, a member of the IPA World Sports & Culture Commission (UK), and President of the Pakistan Law Enforcement Instructors Association. He currently holds a 7th Dan black belt in Karate.

  • Mr. Khalid Bo Saha

    Technical Advisor & Business Development Director

    Mr. Khalid Bo Saha has held several key positions in sports within the Middle East, the Gulf region, and Saudi Arabia (KSA). He was a member of the technical committee for both the first and second West Asian Clubs Championships, as well as the technical committee for the West Asian National Team Championships held in Jordan. Additionally, he served on the technical committee for the International Open Championship in Bahrain.

    Mr. Bo Saha holds both a bachelor's degree and a diploma in physical education. He is also a pioneer in sports for athletes with special needs, having established the Al Ihsaa Center for Sports to support these athletes. Furthermore, Mr. Bo Saha has represented Saudi Arabia in various regional and international championships for players with special needs.

     

  • Mrs. Emma Mudie

    Technical Advisor & Instructor- Tang Soo Do

    Emma is a 2nd Dan black belt in Tang Soo Do from Wales, UK, and a retired police officer and educator with over twenty years of teaching experience. Passionate about empowering others through practical self-defence and traditional martial arts, she brings a caring, inclusive approach to every class. Emma plans to offer remote instruction and in-person seminars in Canada, helping students build confidence, strength, and resilience while embracing the values of respect, discipline, and personal growth.  Emma holds both a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Education.

    Ema provides Tang Soo Do courses for the females at the ICMAF. She is also our contact person responsible for the communication and collaboration between World Tang Soo Do Union (WTSDU) and the ICMAF.

    ICMAF is fully affiliated with the WTSDU, is the official and only representative of the WTSDU in Canada.

  • Master Nicholas Houghton

    President – Worldwide Tang Soo (Soo Bahk) Do Union (WTSDU)

    Master Nicholas Houghton, 6th Dan, is a seasoned martial artist with over 35 years of experience in Tang Soo Do, having begun his training in 1989. He is the President and founder of the Worldwide Tang Soo (Soo Bahk) Do Union (WTSDU), an organisation established to preserve and grow the traditional values and techniques of Tang Soo (Soo Bahk) Do throughout the UK and internationally.

    A former student of the late Grandmaster U K Lee, Master Houghton also trained under Master P.V.M. Chin, President of the International Tang Soo Do Federation (ITSDF), before recently stepping away from the organisation to establish the WTSDU. With this distinguished lineage and decades of research, Master Houghton has developed an exciting, fuller syllabus that remains rooted in tradition while evolving to meet the needs of modern practitioners.

    Through the WTSDU, Master Houghton is dedicated to uniting martial artists across the globe under a shared commitment to technical excellence, discipline, and the enduring spirit of Tang Soo (Soo Bahk) Do.

  • Mr. Jeff Murphey

    Technical Advisor & Honorary Consultant

    Sensei Murphy is a dedicated practitioner and ambassador of Budo Karate in Nova Scotia. He began his Karate journey in 1991 and has spent the decades since passionately promoting the true spirit and values of the art.

    As a competitor, Sensei Murphy enjoyed remarkable success, earning numerous medals and distinctions. He later transitioned into teaching, founding Murphy’s Academy, now regarded as one of Atlantic Canada’s leading Karate schools.

    Today, he serves on the board of Karate Nova Scotia (KNS), offering support and guidance to dojos and practitioners across the province. A 5th Dan in Shotokan, Sensei Murphy also acts as a technical advisor and honorary consultant to the ICMAF, further demonstrating his lifelong commitment to Karate excellence and tradition.
